Patterns of Sleep presents a systemic documentation of discarded mattresses found in various states of neglect around Singapore. As a project that stemmed from a keen interest in the day-to-day detritus of living, the mini zine draws attention to the beauty that can be found in the distinctively patterned, richly detailed, and dubiously coloured beds cast aside on the streets. By examining the unhomed object which falters in between sculpture and trash, the photographic series hope to bring about a mood of playful awe towards everyday aesthetics.
